Rebuilding the dream . . .

Pioneer Park Speedway, set amongst the cane fields in the beautiful Burdekin, was home to speedway racing from 1973 – 2011.

After a seven-year pause … the last two of which were spent rebuilding and re-licencing this once world renowned venue … we re-opened with one of the biggest events ever held at the track – the 2018 Gary Moon Sidecar Memorial – hosted by the Nth Qld Speedway Riders and Supporters Club (NQSRASC) on 11 August 2018.

Since then, we have worked closely with the NQSRASC (bikes) and the local Speedway car clubs in Townsville and the Burdekin, to bring quality Speedway racing back to Pioneer Park Speedway.  We look forward to introducing other exciting motor sport events to this amazing complex.

We hope you enjoy reading about these new beginnings … check out the Photo Gallery for details and photos regarding this rebuild, and our Events page for a run-down of our Speedway meetings to date.
